Each plastic card encoded by Berlio company is assigned with the number engraved on the back of the card and a word-of-mouth three-digit pin-code.
The lists of word-of-mouth pin-codes are confidential and stored in the "Processing center". The pin-code is given to the card holder and will be used as a key at the facility.
Since the BERLIO CARD system was originally designed to be used at fuel filling stations, the information on availability of monetary resources on the plastic card is displayed in liters. Therefore, the number of liters should be multiplied by the factor equal to the cost per liter to know what amount of money is available.
The BERLIO CARD system is based on the user communication with the terminals installed at the facilities via the "Processing Center", which is the main link of the system operating in the following stages:
The user purchases an electronic card in the "Processing Center" where this card is registered after conclusion of the funds transfer agreement with the customer (plastic card number is registered electronically, the user is given a word-of-mouth pin-code). Alternatively, it is possible to register several plastic cards for one contract. The lists of accepted cards are sent to each facility using a modem during communication session of the terminal with the "Processing Center". The user is served at the facility where the terminal is installed only providing that the information on his/her plastic card is in the list sent by the "Processing Center" and stored by the terminal directly.
At the end of the period specified by the user the "Processing Center" provides the user with the progress report on his/her plastic card during registration of the delivered plastic card.
Warranty liability of NP LLC Berlio on maintenance of all installed equipment is one year from the date of installation. Post-warranty service is performed by supplementary agreement between the parties.
